A traditional Japanese tea blend composed of premium Sencha leaves and puffed brown rice. The tea leaves are a first flush harvest from Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, and the organic brown rice is produced in Hokkaido. Genmaicha is one of my favourite breakfast and afternoon teas, equally pleasing hot or iced. 57 grams per bag.
Notes — Vegetal, Nutty, Pecan.
Hot Preparation — 3g of tea to 8oz (185F) water. Steep for 1.5 minutes. Strain and pour into your favourite cup.
Cold Preparation — 4g of tea into 16oz water. Steep for 1-2 hours on counter or 3-5 hours in fridge. Strain, chill and enjoy over ice.
